I went to the body shop earlier today to see how my Dakota
was coming along. As I was walking towards the door, I knew
there was no way i could make the Foxwoods meet with it. As it
sttod at 11am today, the damage was fixed, wiper cowl installed,
hood 98% installed and bumper cover installed. One of the reasons
why they are taking so d@mn long is that they block sanded the hood
several times to get the waves out. I was tempted to take some
photos of the installed green hood and black bumper cover, but I
didn't want to push my luck.
So, the way it looks is I'll be getting my Dakota back sometime
late next week :( I'm sure it will look incredible when it does come
back home. Besides the hood, wiper cowl and bumper cover they are
installing the SS speed grilles and painting the mirrors & door handles
Intense Blue. I figured since the deadline of this Saturday went right
out the window, I might as well have a couple extras done. About the
only good thing to come out of the accident and everything else is that
90% of the work (including all the mods) is paid for by my insurance
company (including rental car ... POS that it is)
I'll be sure to post A LOT of pics the first chance I get.
