Anyone with a rolltop and bedrug how did you make it work at the tailgate

I got the bedrug installed and was just about to start installing the
rolltop cover and I realized the bedrug goes all the way to the top of the
tailgate and is going to interfere with the rolltop cover. How did others
that have both the rolltop and bedrug fix this problem?
