The grill comes with a kit that attaches to your stock hood release that
allows you to open the hood. It is like a t-handle/cable set-up. It attaches
to a hole located in the secondary hood latch. In my 99 I am required to
drill a hole as Dodge changed the latches on later 99 and 00 models. I opted
to carry a thin wooden dowel in my glove compartment until I drill the latch.
Others have used an 18" plastic zip tie or wire tie attached to the stock
latch that hangs out of sight. I guess its your preference.
