The lexan window I have has the license plate box in it. (I'll have some
pics scanned soon!! Promise!!) I got it so I could totally shave the rear
of the truck.... BUT! Apparently Lexan Windows aren't DOT approved in any
state.
I called Alter Images and asked them, and they said they are for show use
only.. not for street vehicles. The thing is, Lexan is totally
shatter-proof, so why not go through the motions to get them DOT
approved? Oh well..
I'm just gonna' out the sliding rear window back in and sell the Lexan
window. Then get a roll pan and shave the tailgate putting the license
plate box in the tailgate.
