OK guys I just found this in the archives, can anyone tell me if this is
true for the '00's and if so how do you get it to turn off in say
bi-level? Do you just turn the heat knob slightly off the full cold position?

Off the Archives...

Marc, check out the archeives for Climate control switch. I asked the =
same question. The owners manual states that the A/C will come on when in =
the following positions: A/C max, A/C normal, Bi-Level, and both defroster =
settings. Hope this helps.

My air conditioner runs when the selector is not on air condition. Does
anyone know anything about this? The only time it doesn't run is when the
selector is pointed to the floor or off.

Thanks a lot,
Chris
