Well here is my thought. The design life of the 318, 360, and 3.9 are all
125,000 mi. The design life of the 4.7 is 150,000 miles. So basically
this means that you should theoretically get 25,000 more miles out a 4.7
then a 318 before it has to be opened up. Of course things such as
driving style etc. So please to not put out the "well I got 325k miles out
of my 318 and it still runs factory fresh" because I am not going to argue
with you, and neither will anyone else all these motors kick ass. All I am
saying is that from a design life point of view the 4.7 has the advantage.
Does it really? only time will tell but for the time being I am happy.
