I'm trying to get that damn halo light to work, but it seems its going to
be a tought battle, since i dont have any under dash lights.

Well, what im asking is that if theres any other place i can tap into
positive power(+) without starting a fire. Since I dont have any
"convenience lighting" i'm looking for something else to tap into. Is
there any other place i could get power and a good ground? Do the door
switches have any (+) power (and ground)? I already saw the link to the
guy with the "D" but i dont have those lights. help please?

Apparently, after the 98 model year, chrysler no longer supplied the
wiring for the light "halo" which illuminated the ignition ring to aid in
finding the keyhole in the dark.

I decided to "investigate" and take apart the steering shaft. i found the
light bulb with semi-wiring attched to it. The wiring goes to a relay
that has no connectors to it. IT HAS NO USE.

I took the "semi-wiring" and cut it off (basically, i just ripped the
bulb off), and i planned on taking it and connecting it to the switch on
the doors, so it would light up with the interior lighting. i figured
since they dont wire em, and the dealership wont do it for you, its a
cheap mod, and i wanna do it. Besides, my dak didnt come with any
"convenience lights" so any more light i could get inside, would be
better.

o i got the bulb, and connected the part i cut to a speaker wire (its
all i had at the time, i have better wire now). one positive, one ground.
I grabbed a pair of plyers, and yanked out the door switch on the drivers
side. the drivers side switch has 3 wires: black, blue/black, blue/pink.
I connected one of the speaker wires to one of those (i cant remeber
which one it was now), and i GOT THE OTHER PART OF THE SPEAKER WIRE and
connected it inside the fuse box (i attached the wire to the parking
light (15 amp) fuse. )
