Hey Jeff,
You might want to call MSD. A buddy and I installed a DIS-4 on his Vobra
(472rwhp Vortech'd Cobra) about 6months ago, the Cobras also run a coil per
cylinder. Your right, the rev-limiter isn't going to do a lot of good if you
have no way of defeating the factory limiter. The MSD "soft" (cuts spark)
rev-limiter is safer on a supercharged application than most (I'm not sure
which the Dodge cuts, I would assume it cuts fuel) factory rev-limiters
(cuts fuel), so it still has some value. Any appreciable amount of boost is
going to require a retard function, of course the best would be a boost
referenced retard (which MSD also makes, don't think it will work with a
coil-per-plug setup). What kind of computer does the Kenne-Bell come with?
Jacobs was also coming out with a DIS ignition, I'm sure it must be out by
now, or close. The Vobra I mentioned made 472rwhp without touching the
valvecovers or intake, of course he trashed 3 pistons the week after his
dyno tune, so now he is all forged and happy (and several thousand dollars
poorer :) ).
Jason.
btw: DIS-4 (4 channel) due to four firings per revolution on a 4stroke V8.
Actually, with the DIS-4, you have your choice of 4 firings per rev, or 8
firings per rev, 4 regular firings, and 4 "scavenger" firings (180` out).

MSD DIS won't work (8 coils on 4.7). Plus other functions are already
handled (can't get rid of factory rev-limiter/speed limit, Supercharger has
separate computer for advance/retard/anti-detonation functions). Just
looking for hotter spark.
Don't even know that I need it, just tryin' the basics (--intake, ignition,
exhaust) to get all I can out of this without opening the engine. (no use to
open the engine, nothing new available to put in)
I've got an e-mail in to MSD asking for info for my application. no response
yet
from MSD's website
With its two channels, the MSD Digital DIS-2 is designed for use on all
4-cylinder applications using 2 coils, while the DIS-4 can be used on all 6
and 8-cylinder engines with three or four coils.
