Two things come to mind that you may want to try and check
into.
Quite a while ago, someone (contacts with DC) wrote in
and said that the 4.7L cut out 1/2 of the injectors at
a certain time upon deceleration. I don't know if this
is true or not. If true, maybe the problem area is here.
Chysler products have had this type of problem to varying
degrees and with various systems since the 80's. A
faily common cause was the vehicle speed sensor and/or
its circuitry. Seems some of the sensors were either
not sensitive enough to distinguish between, say, 5 mph
and 0 mph, or, if faulty, computer did not know what
speed was occurring and put in a 'best guess' figure.
Another common cause was carbon build-up on the underside
and edges of the throttle plate and/or IAC sensor.
Just my thoughts.
