I have a Meg's Oval Stainless Steel exhaust tip and a Borla Stainless Steel
2.5" exhaust clamp for sale, sold together. I paid $10 for the clamp and
somewhere in the area of $40 for the tip. The tip will fit over a 2.5" pipe,
and the outlet oval is 5" wide x 2 1/8" tall. It does look really good when
polished up. Currently, I have a Flowmaster 3 chamber muffler hooked up into
the stock exit pipe. I did cut off the 90 factory bend(after the axle area)
and welded on a 45 degree piece of pipe, with the Meg's tip. So instead of
the exhaust exiting behind the rear tire, it now exits at the corner of the
rear bumper. It does look sweet how it exits, but functionally it doesnt
work for my needs. I have to take the tip off whenever I go 4wheelin', just
to I dont crush it against the bumper on those steeper departure angles. I
did some 4wheelin' today, and made up my mind I am sick of messing with the
tip. I will take function over fashion any day. I am going to cut off the
45degree mandrel pipe I had put on and simply just use a 'turn-down' exhaust
tip from now on, so I dont have to mess with taking the tip on and off. I
may even just run without a tip. Who knows, when I cut it off and have the
shorter pipe,(easily will be over 2ft shorter), I may pick up some more
power!
Email me privately if interested. Would like $35( for both) or so, plus S&H.
