Totally agree this is the only way to do a correct diff fluid change. Not
only can you inspect everything, but by pulling the diff cover(s) off, you
can thoroughly clean all the internal parts and clean the magnet off, so all
the metal shavings are not floating around. Otherwise, just by using a pump
to suck out the old fluid, there is not way you can get all the old fluid
out.
