That's the IAS (thingy on the back of the TB) making that noise. Nothing to
worry about. The stock airhat/airbox setup muffles that noise.

Hey all-
I got my quickd intake put on this weekend, and I know a lot of you
have the same kit, so I thought I'd ask. When the engine is cold, and
I start it up and put it in gear, I get a _very_ loud sucking sound and
high pitched whine. That doesn't sound terribly out of the ordinary to
me, it makes sense- I've opened up the intake, so now it will be louder
as it sucks more air. The sound continues for the first 5 minutes or
so. What I _AM_ confused about is the fact that the sound pretty much
goes away after about 5 minutes of driving. What would have changed?

All the fittings are tight as best as I can tell, and the engine is
stock 3.9L otherwise. By the way, I love the kit- it was easy to put
on, and my butt dyno tells me I've got more acceleration. I was just
curious if any of you have gotten this sound. By the way, thanks to
Tony and Dan for getting the kit to me quickly and for the help.
