I hate those god awful looking bug deflectors (not meaning to offend those
of you that luv them) . They do a good job of keeping bugs off your
windshield and keeping rock chips off the leading edge of the hood. But the
draw back is not only the looks, but the rocks go into your windshield after
they bounce off the hood surface.
The cure is a product called 3M Scotchcal. try your local window
tinter/custom shop, or NAPA is a distributor for 3M products as well. You
can go and look at my 99 R/T at:

but this stuff is pretty much invisible unless you are right up on it. Some
of the others such as Bernd, Heather, Michael Clark, Brett and Texas DML'ers
have seen this on my truck.
