I have an update... I did notice mine creep up to almost 200 today when I got
back from running around at lunch and just sat idling for a couple minutes to
let the a/c vents dry out. Outside temp today 111. But it's a dry
heat..... heh heh heh
In relation to your other issue. I don't think mine cuts out the a/c
compressor at WOT. I have a noticable difference if I turn the a/c off...
Another part of it is mines a 4x4 with the 3:55 gears. It has to do a little
more work to move the extra weight.... wish I'd have held out for 3:92 gears!

Tim, I've noticed the same thing, we have had upper 90's here in VA and when
I run the AC in those conditions I have noticed the truck runs cooler!! I
guess because the electric fan kicks on. I am tempted to run the 1/4 mile
with the AC on???!!! I have seen some people do it and claim the computer
run in open loop with it on??? not sure?? I may experiment.

Just an FYI, I just drove through downtown Phoenix in my '00 CC 4X4 with
the 4.7. I had the a/c on max and did a lot of traffic light sitting and
stop
and go traffic. It's 109 here today. The temp guage just sits at about 190
no
matter if I'm sitting or driving. I'm fairly impressed that this must be a
pretty good cooling system....
