Re: blue headers

The ceramic should flow better also because there is less heat loss in
the pipe. As the exhaust cools, it slows down. Can't say I fully
understand this as the math behind gases is about as chaotic as it
can get, but I have heard time and again that you want good velocity
of exhaust gas and the less cooling the better, in general.

Of course there is such a thing as too much flow which can result in
over-scavenging of the cylinders, but the underhood temp
reduction you mention is worth designing the rest of your mods
around the flow rate of a ceramic coated so as to prevent over
scavenging. This would include intake choices, cats, mufflers
etc. I plan on getting more expert opinions when the time comes
but I think the main thing is that I "open up the intake end" to the
same degree I "open up the exhaust end" because scavenging
is mostly a function of the intake resistance being too high
with regards to exhaust resistance (backpressure)

When I feel comfortable with my dealer (with regards to my
warranty etc) I plan on going ceramic coated.
