Talk to Tony about the QuickD, I'm sure your situation has come up
before. I don't know where the a/c attaches to the engine on a V6 but
both my 318 and my father's 360 have a/c and the QuickD works fine
there.
Don't worry too much about a home-made-looking part. Just keep the old
airbox and put it back when you trade in.
