My name is Mike, and I am new to the list.
I am looking into getting a 2000 Club Cab Dakota, and if you dont mind, I
would like to get your input.
I am looking to get a fully loaded truck with the exception of a few parts.
(No AT/ No Power Seat/ No Leather Wrapped Wheel)
My questions are these. I would like to get the uppgraded bed capacity
(from 1450-1800). Now according to the Dodge site, I do not need the 3.92
axle to get this, but the microsoft carpoint site says that I do. Do you
guys know if I need the 3.92? I want the V8, so I want to increase gas
mileage any way I can. I wont be doing any racing, nor will I really need
the increased bed capacity, but the dodge site says the increased capacity
also increases the rear brake size. That I would like. Also living in NYC I
have to get the NY/CA emmisions. How does this affect the performance if at
all? Any info would be great, and if you guys have any suggestions as to
other options either to add (must haves) or remove(dont need it, will never
use it/ will definatly break) I would appreciate it.
