The Fun Field ($30) is for participant voting. That's where the DML tent
was last year. The meet organizers set aside space for vehicle model.
Last year, they were not expecting so many Dakotas and the space was
a little small.
The Show Field is an area set aside in front of the grandstand for anyone
with a vehicle that is of 'top notch' show quality which will be judged by
a panel of judges and awarded points for 'restoration' and 'restification'
... usually for older vehicles. Vehicles on the Fun Field do not have
to be in show condition ... a safer place to park in a group ... less
walking distance to vendors than from public parking.
I only know of one Dakota who was going to register in the Show Field
but because of personal reasons will not be able to attend this year.
Join the peons on the Fun Field.
