IIRC, Paxton sells the aluminum airhat as a replacement for the stocker
because with the boost, the stock one leaks (since it's just plastic and
held down with one bolt). On a regularly aspirated engine, it's not an
issue, but with the extra pressure of the supercharger, it leaks.
We had a discussion about racing in 4WD a while back. Short answer: If
you've got 4WD PT, DON'T DO IT! The transfer case can't take it. Just
like you're not supposed to drive on dry hard surfaces in 4WD if you've
only got a part-time system.
