I put a subject line on there, it seems to have disappeared somewhere.
Do you mean bouncing like a bucking bronco? Especially in the rear? It
may be as simple as tire pressure. Remember a pickup has very little
weight over the rear wheels as compared to the fronts, so the suspension
isn't going to be as mellow as you might expect because it's unloaded.
I really noticed it when I took the 140+ pounds of sand out of my bed
that I had in there for the winter and started bouncing around on the
littlest things. With the gas above 1/2 a tank, it was OK, but past
that, it got sketchy.
Someone posted on the list not too long ago to drop your rear pressure
and it'll help a lot. I'm now running 35 front/25 rear (or
thereabouts...the weather swinging so much lately has it changing a lot)
and it's much nicer.
I can't get into the DML homepage right now, so I can get a direct link
to the archives, but check out the thread "Loose Butt End" on or about
May 19. Mike Schwall (mschwall@flash.net) posted the suggestion to drop
to 20 pounds in the rear.
