Re: Bouncing back end?

Definitely, you will have to put in more air. The reason why we're
dropping the air pressure is that when the truck is unloaded, there
isn't enough weight over the rear end to properly load/compress the
tires and suspension. With that equipment back there, you'll have that
needed weight. Even with only 150 pounds in the bed I noticed a
difference over no weight.

I think Mike said his mileage didn't change at all. As I noted before,
my mileage last weekend was BETTER on a hillier drive than it was with
35 pounds all the way around. As for tire wear, I think Mike said that
tire wear is better with the lower pressure because the tire is being
properly compressed so that the tread is evenly contacting the road all
the way across, instead of riding the center harder. If I wear the
tires out quicker, no big loss, at least this time around. I'm running
the Wrangler RT/S 31x10.5 tires and will be happy to see them go to the
trash heap. I just can't afford to replace them right now without
SERIOUS justification (like them being worn out).
