Charles, have your seen the new Reflexxion steel cowl hoods? I think it
would look great on your Durango with 20" rims (325/35x20 rear & 275/40x20
front), then add the Hotkris suspension with a 2/4 drop.

Subject: Re: DML: 2000 Durango R/T question
That's basically what I did, but opted for the 4x4 without the full time
trans. Everything else is the same except for the seat & door trim. I'll
put my "D" up against any stock Durango R/T and will beat it with no
problems. I'd like to see the times between the 5.9 Durango and the 4.7
Durango to see which is running better. I know in the Dak the 4.7 runs
faster out of the box.
Also, the bumpers, grill & air dam are already painted to match on the
Durango's. I will have to agree that a suspension upgrade would be a great
investment. My stock suspension seems very "spongy" when cornering and has
quite a bit of rocking during hard braking and take offs.
You may also want to look into the Shelby packages. If you have the $$.

YOU GUYS...
I have a '99 4x4 (Sport--) Club Cab, I have added all of
the options that come on the package RT, with the exception
of the 5.9L engine & 3.92 gearing.
I ALSO have a '00 4x2 (Sport--) Regular cab, WITH the RT
package.
If you want a 4x2 RT Durango, buy a 5.9, 4x2 SLT, get the
grill replaced with a color matched grill, paint the
bumper/lower airdam, add Hotchkis suspension w/Bilsteins...
and you'd have a MUCH better handling, FASTER, and CHEAPER
Durango...
I'll post pictures of what I have running for all to see
soon...
