intake kit?

I am sure your kit will work fine. It will still however retain the
stock flex hose.
if your going to try to make your own kit........at least spend a few
bucks and get a piece of 3 inch aluminized steel tubing. Most muffler
shops sell it, or summit sells 45 degree bends for about $10. I dont
know what you would use for the coupling hose........Home Depot sells
those black rubber pipe coupling hose clamp thingys........wont be the
best, but it should hold on. Then paint the pipe with some high temp
paint or wrap it with heat reflective tape.
At least it will look nice.

But come on.......
I cant think of anyone I know that would spend $35,000 for a new Durango
and put a piece of sewer pipe in the engine compartment. My very first
prototype was out of sewer pipe....but it was just for testing. I knew
all along I wasnt going to keep it.
So if you have to make a kit on your own.......at least use the metal
piping. I have always said that if someone doesnt want to get my
kit......that I will be more than willing to help them work on their own
kit. But lets keep our beautiful trucks out of the sewer. It would
suck to spank the hell out of some ferd, and then have him pull up at a
gas station and ask to see what you have under there, and have it be a
piece of doo doo pipe.
feel free to email me.......I am more than willing to help.

But on the other hand......My kit is pretty. Its easy........and it
Performs. I think a lot of the people that get my kit could have made
their own......but for the price......its actually easier to get one
already done. Its kinda like washing the truck.......I love washing my
truck, especially on a nice warm day, I will take it to the self spray
wash, and spend hours talking to everyone.....enjoying the so cal
weather........you know, the first sign of sun, and everyone gets naked
out here........but sometimes, its much easier so spend $20 and get the
oil change and wash combo at the carwash.
