I tried to post this Saturday, but due to technical difficulties I was
unable to. So here it is......

 ================================

Well, I just pulled the tb adaptor this morning and milled down
(hacksawed!) the fuel rail mounts about 3/16th of an inch. This gave
me the extra space I needed to get my injectors fully seated like they
should be. Reset the comp. and on the first test drive I could tell
the top end was stronger than it had been all week. Gtech is showing
somewhere around 10hp improvement and the comp. hasn't even re-learned
anything yet. Low end torque seems unaffected so far, still nice and
strong. The procedure took about an hour from start to finish and
seems to have made a significant improvement. After I had milled the
mounts and went to re-seat the injectors I could feel and hear them
snap down into the bosses. Before they didn't do this....

One thing I noticed when I pulled the adapter off -- which btw was
kinda tough to remove after the rtv had sealed, crowbar was required
-- is that the inside of the manifold was coated with oil! Nothing
bad just a thin shean. You coulndn't see it you had to touch it to
tell it was oily. It appears to be comming in from the vacuum tree
from the pcv hose. I have baffles installed in my mp valve covers,
and my pcv valve rattles when I shake it, so is it normal to have some
oil residue inside the manifold? I think I'm going to replace the pcv
valve and hope that fixes it. There isn't anywhere else the oil could
be comming from is there? I know it's not the bellypan cause I don't
have one anymore. ;-)

=================================

That was Saturday, today on the way to work I could feel a DEFINATE
improvement in top end. Only have about 20 miles since the reset and
it's already better than before the MPI was put on, and it's getting
better everytime I drive.....
