I have in addition to my 99 DAK 5.2L 5 speed a beautiful 94 Vette LT1 [383
stroker] ... 465HP on the dyno ... AND it does get 24 mpg on cruise
control at about 77-80 mph ... BUT it has 6 gears, 2 are OD .. It turns a
whopping 1900 RPM at 80 mph ... That's why ... in addition to the fact it's
aerodynamics are somewhat better than the brick-like ones of a DAK ... If
we could get 6 speeds for the DAK would be better I'm sure ... The Vette is
300 lbs lighter than my RC DAK also ... Rear end gears the same. My 5
speed DAK gets about 15-16 in town and 18-19 hwy ... and a lot has to do
with driving habits, if I would behave, I'm sure it would be better.
