The 4.7L utilizes a cylinder head that is very similar to the original "Hemi
head" of the 50's, 60's and 70's. It is the closest thing to a true Hemi
Chrysler has produced since the 1971 426 HEMI. However, the 4.7L cylinder
heads do not have a completely Hemispherical chamber, but it is very close,
and for practical purposes we have been referring to it as a Hemi.
The original Hemi head was a true half sphere, check this link out to see a
"true" hemi head.
