Norah,
When I used Amsoil ATF in the tcase for 70,000+ miles, I had ZERO problems
with the tcase, 4WD, or having the hard-to-pull lever. Once I put the Mobil
1 in, the problems started. This was at about the 120,000 mile marker. I
think you are just fine with the Amsoil, as soon as my local dealer opens up
Monday, I will drain out the Valvoline and fill it back up with the
best.......Amsoil! :)
I was looking at a $750-$1000 rebuild........those morons!! The mechanics
NEVER asked my about the tcase fluid type or were they concverned with the
fluid level. Long live Amsoil and NP231s!!! Thanks again Norah, those tcase
pages are being put away in the 'Dakota' archive file.
