#1. Has anyone out there converted there Gen III Dak from 3.55 gears to
3.92?
I am wondering how much of performance boost this gave and what the
MPG hit was....
#2. I think the ball joints in my 99 Dak are going bad (14k mi). She makes
a lot of clunking
noises when turning (normally just when the road is bumpy or going up
an incline)
Is there an easy way to tell if the ball joints are going bad?
I have tried rocking the tire (top and bottom grip) which has little
play but from
left to right is about a 1/4" of movement with the tire off the ground
(driver's side
tire with the passenger side on the ground. No steering linkage
movement).
