I have a buddy here in town that is 19, making good money splicing fiber
optics. This prompted him to buy a brand new SS Camaro at the beginning of
last summer. That was a nice car, he street raced and had many
modifications, some he didn't like to talk about. It was solid, well built,
looked great, and i have seen 0-60 slips that show him at 3.9s. Then he got
the bright idea that a "car" wasn't him and he needed a truck. So he went
with the same manufacturer. He spent even more money on a top of the line
Chevy Z71 extended cab beast. He has had so many problems with it, it makes
him, me, and the rest of his friends sick. It is a pathetic piece of crap.
Looks nice, but it's made from actual dog crap. I'm sure of it. Electronics
have broken, the transmission is going out, the engine no longer has the
torque to move forward or backward at idle, and the dealer has repainted it
once. He has NOT RACED IT--he has babied it completely--and if you can
believe it he also babied his camaro.

Just had to mention that in response to the statement that chevy has the
quality of dodge. I'm sure the crank out a few good ones every once in a
while, but chevy has the same problem as ford. Half of the factories of both
the manufacturers have a good product coming out, the other half of all the
factories have ridiculous levels of inconsistancy and management problems.
They have been struggling to nail down these inconsistencies for years, but
they don't have the good people that Chrysler does. Heck, if both companies
cut half their line, reduced product overlap and trimmed back management and
other poor performers, they could make more money than they do now. They
only dream of the profit margins DC sees.

Hope you liked the rant,

Sean
