Synthetic gear lube and ATF cost me around $8/qt. The motor oil I think costs
around $4-5/qt. and I'm running Castrol Syntec right now with a Mobil 1 filter.

I am about ready to change the fluids in my dak. From the past reading, it
looks like I am going to change over to synthetic oil. The big question I
have...what filter should I use for the oil in the engine? Is there some
special brands of filters that work better than others? Also, how much
should I expect to pay for a quart of synthetic oil, mtl, and gear lube? ex.
Red Line, Mobile 1, Castrol, Amsoil, etc. TIA
