Man,I love a dumbass war better than these flame wars we`ve been
having.I had no idea of the monster I was creating by starting this
thread! I`m still laughing over the piston return springs, that kills me!
That`d be a good one to try on a new kid at Autozone, huh? In case anyone
was wondering why the thread was titled "V6 hesitation",I started to
update everyone on my "progress" with having my truck fixed, then decided
to be a dum dum instead.Everyone has heard enough of my problem. At this
point,I believe I`ll post the work that the dealer performs and any
improvements that I manage to do to my Dak,which is now safely protected
at work from a severe hail/thunderstorm that never hit.I cannot put
ANYTHING in my garage due to an old Cuda and Challenger taking up all
the space(only got two stalls!)At any rate,I know that a few of us here
are having problems with idle quality, pinging, and driveability.I`m
starting to believe that these problems may be all computer and sensor
related, since they affect all "LA" engines and even the new 4.7,to a
lesser degree, seemingly regardless of transmission type. What else could
they all have in common, except maybe the fuel system components?
AAAHHH,for the days of the mechanical vehicle!! Back when you had one
voltage regulator, one ignition module, and some wiring. If your car
hesitated,check your plugs/ignition cables,and maybe your carb,and still
have time to watch The Six Million Dollar Man.Well,o.k.,maybe Dad worked
on the car then.I think I was 5. Steve P. 99 Dak Sport V6 4x4 RC
