RE: Tonneau Cover questions.

I have a Snug-Lid. At the time I chose a hard cover because I wanted to be
able to match the paint on the Dak. Snug has that option. They paint it
for you and they match it perfectly. It is guaranteed for as long as I own
the truck. Mine was more than most because I chose all the extras. $800.

1) It's painted to match.

2) The mounting hardware (clamps) allow me to mount the lid with absolutely
no drilling. These mounts would have allowed me to mount the lid regardless
of the bedliner being over the rails or not. Mine's not, it's a Line-X.

3) The underside of the lid has been carpeted because I didn't want a grungy
looking off-white underside. The carpet is a dark gray which matches my
interior as well as the Line-X. The locks were included. The lid is easy
to remove as well, but it does require two fairly strong people. It's more
awkward than heavy.

My regrets?

On some occasions I have needed to remove the lid because my cargo wouldn't
fit. What would have been nicer? If I could have gotten a roll-back lid
(they have automated ones just like power windows) that could have been
color-matched to my paint. I don't think they can do that yet. That would
have been the ultimate. The biggest problem with those is, I heard they
leak.
