Well....what is your budget for "affordable dakota performance" modification
and i'm sure we all can come up with a list for you. ;)

15HP isn't all that hard to get, it's how you go about it to get it. Here's
what I mean:

1.7:1 Roller Rocker Conversion: $400 (About 15HP...maybe more from a few
posts)
Modified Throttle Body: $300 + Core (Initial investment of close to $400 and
10-20HP gains posted from a few DML'ers)
Headers: $350 - $400 (About 10-15HP at most)
Cam Swap: $200 - $300 (If you do it yourself and the kit is a "Cam Kit" with
new lifters)
Nitrous Oxide: $500 Initial Investment (Yeah...had to throw that one in)
QuickD/K&N Gen-II Ait Intake System: $200 - $300 (5-10HP gains at most)

As you can see, the modifications aren't all that inexpensive but in the
right combination/configuration can give excellent results. (10-50HP+ with
Cam/Intake/Headers/TB)

I totally agree, it isn't cheap by any means...but as the old saying goes:

"You have to Pay to Play"

Regards,

- Bernd

bernd , if something doesn't happen soon as far as "affordable dakota
performance" i dunno if i can keep waitin or having to take a second
mortgage
just to put 15 horses to the rear wheels..this is rediculous...
of course it doesn't help that i'm air force and only make 40 grand a
year..i
didn't think it would cost so much for performance...<sigh>
