Well, as you may have noticed, i've started posting again. WooHoo!!!!
So obviously my computer problems are fixed. I had purchased a computer
from a company called IBC in Ontario--NEVER BUY FROM IBC!!!!!
They had to replace a video card in it before i even picked the computer up.
Then as i was installing all my personal software that night, it froze
repeatedly. After arguing with the manager for an hour, he finally got me
to agree to sit with their tech, and work out al the bugs. Worked with the
tech for 2 hours, seemed to solve the freezing issues. Two weeks later,
turn the machine on in the morning, hmm, my desktop is missing most of my
icons, and most of the software. Take it in, the hard drive is so corrupt
that any fix disk utility did not work, and the drive needed to be replaced.
Remember, at this point the computer is less than a month old, and i've
only had use of it for approximately 2 weeks due to the initial problem and
my going on vacation.
So, after talking to a lawyer, then threatening the store manager with a
lawsuit, he finaly agrees to refund my money--minus a 15% re-stocking fee.
I give in because i want to be done with this whole organization. The
cheque is supposed to reach my home within 4 business days. I take another
vacation in the meantime, and when i get back home, still no cheque. This
is 2 weeks after he said i'd get a refund.
Finally call the company headquarters and have them courier the cheque to me
(apparently there was a mixup--yeah righ). So, almost 2 months later, i
lost about 250 bucks, and ordered a Dell.
I am very happy with the few hours that i have had the Dell, everything has
gone smoothly.
So a warning for those looking to get a new computer:
DO NOT BUY FROM IBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I plan on putting up an "anti-IBC" webpage when i get the time to teach
myself how to make a webpage. I'm going to center around the store manager
of the Windsor location since he was the one that gave me the biggest hassle
and was basically a complete jerk-off.
But anyways, The Adam Blaster is back on the DML!!!!
