I guess they are fairly easy to maintain once they are setup. I haven't had
any problems yet, my brother hasn't had any with his, and neither has my
dad. both dad and brother run 440 powered rams.
as for power, you would probably be a lot happier with the carb. if you buy
something cpu powered what are the chances you can tear into it and fix
it??? you can easlily work on a carb, with a lot less headaches
as for gauges, my volt meter still works (that's the only thing the computer
does, it sends the signal to a voltage regulator, then to the alternator)
and temp guage works, but the factory tach and oil pressure guage doesn't.
I put an autometer tach in and a water and oil pressure guage in.
