The Gen 1` Lightnings tend to run low 15s and even some high 14s stock.
Also, there weren't any flaresides. And there weren't any Orange lightning
decals. :-) I', not putting nayone or their vehicle down mind you, just
answering the questions. What you raced, however, probably was a V*, just
not a Lightning.

16's", I should run right along with him. And yes it seemed that the driver
knew what he was doing. When he left the light he didn't have much wheel
spin at all...which tells me either he knew how to drive or he didn't have
enough power to spin the wheels. Those old Lightnings had 351's in them,
which should spin the wheels with no problem. His truck is also a lot older
than mine...which usually means more wear and tear. If it was high 15's low
16's from the dealer and he didn't do any mods I'm sure it's probably
running a little slower now.
