Amsoil makes some good damn stuff. I love their P.I. Gas Additive. It costs
me about $7.50 for a 16ounce bottle, and it usually lasts for 8 fill-ups. I
have yet to find another fuel system cleaner additive which is so cheap, yet
works this good. If you look at the far majority of the fuel system cleaners
on the market, they cost $15 and up. I would never waste my money on those
again. I currently use Amsoil 75W90 in the front and rear differential, and
once again......I simply love it. If you look how thick and nasty the
'stock' blue gelled fluid is, and then compare it to how thin the Amsoil
gear fluid is, you will be amazed, plus Amsoil offers superior protection
than the factory gel(what I call the Dodge's gear fluid).
I also run it in my transfer case, Amsoil ATF that is. Dont ever put Mobil 1
ATF in your tcase, ever. I wont ever put anything other than Amsoil ATF in
my trucks tcase. I flush and fill the case once a year or so with the Amsoil
ATF. For me, using synthetics of any type is not worth the added cost since
I change my oil/filter every 3,000 miles anyways. I can do a 4 quart Castrol
10W30 oil change with a Fram PH16 oil filter typically for $7. I also use a
Amsoil 2Stage Hi-Flow Air Filter, and for $30, you c ant go wrong. It should
last you for the lifetime of your truck. I typically take mine out, clean
it, and re oil it once a year. Go with the Amsoil you will not be
disappointed.
