Hi Norah,
Nothing keeps you from doing that. As a matter of fact I have a lot of
performance modifications to mine, but keep in mind why Dodge and other
manufacturers have come out with a QC. This is supposed to be a family
vehicle geared toward family recreation, much like the SUV or minivan but
with pickup truck capabilities. There are a lot of old fogeys like me that
buy the QC for that purpose. It's just that I still have a lot of racing
blood in me. I'm just saying that there are a lot of people that may not
want to do extensive mods to do the kinds of things that we, on the DML,
wants to do. I feel that the QC group is just another special interest
group like the R/T group. Time will tell whether that is the case. I just
don't like it when people condemn things right off the bat without giving
any other consideration.
As I said earlier, I like the DML and am on this list 99% of the time. I am
a member of other lists and groups because I know some of them also, e.g.,
DTOA. The DTOA gives me benefits I can't get anywhere else plus members of
that group are part of the DML as well. Believe me, if I hear of something
good on the QC list, you folks will be the first to know. And yes, you are
right, you could start a 4X4 list or a Canadian Dak's list, etc. I think it
would be great and would not be offended if I couldn't join because I didn't
fit the qualifications. As a matter of fact, I don't know of too many
people that even care to join a lot of the groups that are out there simply
because it's outside of their interest area.
I've said enough. You folks on the DML are a great bunch of people and I,
frankly, don't know what I'd do without your help. Go to a "5-star" dealer
and PRAY!

Ron,
Why would the QC be any different than any other Dak? At Jon's BBQ we had a
QC 4x4 on the trail, they do sell skid plates for it, you can lift it
(although I don't know what is available for lifts on the QC). Just curious
as to what you meant by "away from all the detailed race and lifting and
offroading mods". What would prevent the QC from racing? Just curious?
Not to start anything, but I guess the 4x4's could have their own list, the
4x2's, the Reg Cab's, the Club Cabs, the lifted, the lowered, the stock, the
modified, and it could even end up divided by colour? At this rate... who
knows? :-)
TTYL,
Norah
