Bernd,
Cough cough, it's a 93!!....geeesh. Just kiddin. As far as the injectors are
concerned, I really have no idea. I did have my fuel system cleaned at a
local garage, using the "MotorVac Carbon Clean" machine. Also, at every
fillup I use about 2-3ounces of Amsoil PI($7.50 at a local dealer), so I
really think my fuel system 'should' be clean. Every now and then I will
dump a bottle of Redline Fuel System Cleaner in there also($5 at Pep Boys).
Now, the system could be clean, but you are right I could have a faulty
injector, or two, or three. Other than taking the injectors out and having
them flow tested, is there another way to check? I know of a local machine
shop which just started advertising a new machine/tool they bought.
Supposedly they can do a flow test and if the injector(s) are still within
specs, they can clean and 'blueprint' them for $85, for a 6cyl.
