Subject: DML: Got one 3923 in!!

Well,I decided to put in my Autolites yesterday, after having them for
several weeks.I managed to replace the #1 plug, was kinda tight, but not
too bad. Then I tried #3.Folks,I think my #3 plug is integral to the
head.I don`t think it`s supposed to come out.I exerted enough force to
where,had my ratchet slipped,I would`ve broken my hand.So I said "forget
that one and ESPECIALLY the one behind it,not even gonna break my master
cylinder.I`ll just try the other side of the truck".So I check that side
out, kinda give everything a look over. What do I find? Keep in mind
now, that my truck has just had 5-star hands all over the engine for the
belly pan gasket job about five weeks ago.I find a half-melted fuel
filter(looked like it had been up against the exhaust manifold),attached
to a hose on ONE end, that seems to go,well, somewhere. But the other end
IS NOT ATTACHED TO ANYTHING!!!! Just clamped shut on that end!! I
thought I had been hearing a rattle from the right front suspension
area.OH,well, that was just my FUEL FILTER,now defunct, bouncing on the
frame!! I RAN back into the house to call my 5-star service manager
before 5:00,because I knew it was almost 5:00 and I had some things to
say! He was temporarily indisposed(wiping),so I told the lady that my
truck had been basically tinkered with, and besides that,it`s still not
fixed.I have a new appointment next Wednesday morning.I`m debating
whether or not to stick that one Champion plug back in.I don`t want them
to say,"WE never did that, but SOMEONE put an incorrect plug in.Maybe
THEY messed up your fuel line. But anyway, what do ya have to do to loosen
these plugs?Do you need a breaker bar? Thanks! Steve P.
