That's ok....but I have a V8 (5.9). I'm not changing the springs....yet, or
cam....yet. I think to be safe, though, that I am going to get the Crower
kit that includes the pushrods. Good insurance.

Thanks for your help,
Ron

Ron,
Yes, I should have noted that changing out the springs and retainers are not
really necessary unless you are also installing a cam. I wasn't awake
enough to notice you have a V6, or I wouldn't have mentioned them in the
first place.

Regarding the heavier pushrods, this is good insurance against over-reving
the engine. One good over-rev and you can bend the stock pushrods. (I have
excellent first-hand experience on this one.) :'0 In which case, you'll be
replacing them at that point anyway.

Sorry for any confusion with the spring issue.

Okay...back to Mr. Wisotzkey's stmt "but at the least, install a heavier set
of pushrods." This would indicate the 5500 RPM+ version ($535). If I spend
the extra $100+ in any case, it won't hurt, right? Pros? Cons?

No need on the V6 for the spring replacement...even with the 1.7:1 rockers.
(Good idea but again, not required unless he's changing out the cam..and
even then...it may not even be required.)
