Yup, that's what I do... Most of your braking power comes from the front discs
and not from the rears. With RW ABS only, I pump away to get as much woe-ahh as
I can out of the front binders.

IMHO, if your fronts are locking up, pump ... better to have some steering
control than absolutely none. If the rears are breaking out as well,
put into neutral (at least with 2wd) to get the torque out of them
until the rears are under control.
