Well, after all the useful tips you guys gave me on trying to diagnose
my front end clunking noise on my '99 Dak it does indeed look
like the steering shaft is causing the problems. But this is only where
the fun begins.
Now my 5 Crap-ola dealer is refusing to even look at my truck again
because it has been in their shop two times for this problem that they
can't
fix and they feel nothing is wrong. Another words they are refusing me
service.
Now I have to go down and talk? (YELL) at the service manager and the
general manager at the dealership to fix it. If they refuse I will make
them
sign a form saying that the customer (me) is still complaining but they
feel nothing is wrong and refuse service. Then I will have to get ahold
of
my local Chrysler zone rep and see what they can do.
Luckily I do have another Dodge dealer in the area which I will goto
next (although not the famed 5 terd award). Its like, I love my Dakota
and would (might) buy another one, but the service from Dodge is so bad
you almost have to consider other brands. They don't seem to ever
learn.
