With the tire in front of the grille guard there will be about a 6-8" space
between the 33 and the radiator. I can't currently get the 33 under the bed
as the stock spare cable mount assembly broke into pieces from the weight of
the tire when I tried stuffing it up there a coupla weeks ago. I'm not sure
thats an option anyways with the exhaust...(i've got a GEN II, not sure the
difference in space)
I posted this question to the local 4x4 club also and three responses so far
recommend against it for fear of overheating for lack of proper air flow
since the engine is working harder with larger tires (still stock 3.55
gearing). I may try to see if I can lash it to the hood or off the back
tailgate for a temporary fix...my truck is going to be LOADED down with
gear...!

And i figure you should just do a half-hour test run and see if your temp
gets too high. But you have to factor in the extra weight you'll have with
your gear.
And does the 33"not fit under the bed like the stock setup?
Hey David, didn't you have your 33" under the bed?
