To add to that, if it were CA. We have uninsured motorist, and underinsured
motorist. In a general hit and run, you are screwed (who's to say you
didn't damage it yourself, then claim a hit and run?).. But since the perps
were caught, now you have a case of uninsured motorist (unless they have
insurance, which you've covered on their end).... Also, the vehicle pushing
is also liable in this, and contributed to the accident (plus left the
scene). So you'll pay your deductible, your insurance company may waive
your deductible, and pay for repairs... then go after the other guy tooth
and nail.
