In St. Louis, go to Parts America or Advanced autoparts, dont tell these
idiots what you want the plugs for, just tell them to give you 3923
autolites.

Subject: DML: Source for tune up parts

:Well all, I just about give up. I have been on the phone with just about
:every major parts place in the St. Louis area, and I have yet to find the
:"preferred" parts for a tune up. Specifically, I'm looking for the Borg
:Warner distributor cap and rotor, and the Autolite 3923 plugs. Since I
live
:in the St. Louis area, we don't have Pep Boys available to us. We have
:AutoZone, Advance Auto parts, Napa, and Car Quest. Napa might have the
:plugs, but I couldn't beat the information out of the guy I spoke to. He
:kept insisting on running them through the computer and wouldn't give me a
:strait answer on particular number - duh! Any suggestions on sources for
:the preferred parts, or alternatives that people have had good luck with?
I
:was tempted to go with the Napa parts as they usually seem to work for me,
:but I also know enough to go with what works best for a vast number of
:people. Any suggestions? TIA...
