Just curious, what did you do to get the ticket?

I was going down a 45 mph 2 lane divided street. This expedition with a
single passenger keeps on throttling it and zooming ahead (hardly worth
noting) but it makes me MAD... but I'm almost out of gas, so I don't mess
with the guy.
After 4-5 red lights, I am lined up with the fella again and he seems proud
that he's out accelerated me the past couple lights so I get ready and as
the light turned green, I heard him chirp his tires, but I was already a car
ahead of him. pulled on to 60 and decided to let off, but this car from
behind him moves over to my lane and begins to follow me like I killed his
brother or something. I go left. he went left. I go right, he goes right.
SO... the light where I'm supposed to turn right at ahead is red and it's
about to have the opposite "turners" turn, so I accelerated up, kinda slowed
down to time it where i'd JUST get across but he'd be stuck, but I under
aimed, and almost missed it so I had to mash the throttle around the turn
from being hit which made me go sideways tires squeeling.
I then looked back and noticed a boy in blue sitting at the light waiting to
go forward, so I know i was in deep water. Pulled over, gave him the normal
licenses and registration and watched the acura drive by me. Kinda gave me
that messed up look.
Oh well, I did over accelerate through that turn, so it was my fault for not
doing something smarter, but that's life.
Now.. the cop was actually quite nice for letting me have a failure to
signal movement ticket. Doesn't sound as bad as "unnecessary acceleration"
