Be careful that you are truly considering all of the costs involved.
nitrous generally is cheaper than a blower, but there are extras that
should be considered to maintain reliability and get the system to
perform the way you want it to.

Using myself as an example, I was planning on installing nitrous
on my Dak. I wanted to be able to use it on the track and the street,
and I wanted it to be ultra-safe. The first requirement meant a
remote bottle opener. To prevent detonation, I wanted an ignition
retard. Since I still had the stock ignition, that would require
a new ignition. I also wanted a low fuel pressure nitrous shutoff
(important!).

I don't remember all of the costs anymore, but it would have broken
   down something like this:

NX wet nitrous kit - $700-800
Holley Annihilator Ignition and laser shot coil - $600
   Remote bottle opener - $200
   Fuel pressure cutoff - $50?

I also wanted some other things like an extra bottle, etc. (Like I
said, I don't remember all the details anymore.) All said and done,
the entire system priced out for around $2,000! Sure, you can go
out and spend $500 and run nitrous, but if you want to be safe, expect
to spend more. Anywhere from $1-2K, depending on your particular
   needs.

     Have fun! :-)
