in the past four years, i have had a '97 Yammahamma Big Bear, a '95 Honda 300
4x4, a '98 Honda 300 4x4, a '98 Honda Foreman 400 4x4 (still here), a '99
Honda Foreman 450 S 4x4 (still here), and a '96 Su-sucki 300 4x4...the next
bike I buy will be a 350 Rancher 4x4, and if it lives up to what I've seen
and felt from the two I've rode, all my aftermarket goodies will go to
it...my advice here is HONDA...they've sold the most for good reasons...and
if you're looking for pure utility and aren't over 225# I'd go with a 300
4x4...but with tires any bigger than say 25x10 back and 24x9 front (assuming
you go 255 on the scales as i do), you lose low-end like a mofo...the 400
foreman and 350 rancher are well priced great bikes too...but for most folks
the 300 is the best buy...
BTW, if i had a buck for overtime one of my 300's has had to
push/pull/tug/tow a bike of larger cubes, i could lay outta work all next
week man...good luck with whatever you choose
