There's a lot of pros and cons on the DML regarding aftermarket chips.
Those are the superchips, Jet's, Hypertechs, and few other odds and ends.
Most of those like to throw data at the PCM to fool it into thinking
something that isn't. They plug into your main harness before the PCM.
Anyway you know about Mother Nature and fooling around. Then there's the
high performance modules made by Mopar. These are more expensive than the
ones I mentioned at first. The good part is they replace the stock computer
and they become your Dak's computer with new fuel curves, etc. Bad news is
that Mopar is discontinuing the 4X4 HP ones because of premature engine
failure when using these HP modules for towing. Your third option is to
have someone custom program your PCM based on your driving habits and mods.
That is the most expensive, around $500. Marty from KRC
erformance( http://krcperformance.com ) does that kind of stuff.
